I started coaching here in year 11 following a weekend summary course which enabled me to finally understand the content we had covered in school. In my time up to the HSC, Taffy, Danny and Candy, were able to replicate this experience in every lesson- transforming maths and chemistry from subjects that I found to be headache into something I looked forward to. Part of the reason for this was Taffy’s dedication to understanding my initial starting point and reinforcing the value of dedication in reaching a realistic goal. I feel extremely lucky to have found their services and I could not recommend them enough.

Matthew Hield2023-05-03Before attending coaching with Taffy, my mentality around schoolwork was fairly disorganised and unmotivated. However, once I started attending chemistry lessons with Danny and maths with Taffy, I started to become a better student that was more disciplined and motivated. Not only did their lessons provide me with a comprehensive understanding of the content - something that school often failed to do - they also provided extremely valuable information regarding study habits and what it would take to get the best out of my self. Upon reflection, I think the most valuable things Taffy Coaching taught me were the lessons of working hard consistently and being realistic of the competition. I have now left school not only with an ATAR I'm proud of, but with a skillset that will serve me well in University and whatever field I choose to venture into.

Louis Mo2023-02-13I went to Taffy’s Coaching for HSC Maths and Chemistry. Taffy and Danny helped me navigate through Year 12 and I never would’ve been able to achieve my marks and ATAR without their support. Taffy is a very responsible tutor and he has profound knowledge of the syllabus. He is able to explain tricky concepts with understandable language and relevant examples, and he is organised in terms of lesson plans and the pace of teaching, so no one in the class would fall behind. His class is also tailored so it’s suitable for both stronger and weaker students, as they are advised on doing questions that have different level of difficulty. For example, weaker students focus on more the foundation and stronger students would be doing extension questions that are more challenging. Taffy also has unlimited resources in terms of practice questions and his notes are very comprehensive, which I found it very helpful as a HSC student. Danny is a very passionate and professional tutor, he would break down the syllabus into different sections and explain the theories in a very meticulous way. He made Chemistry an interesting subject to learn and going to his class becomes something enjoyable. Danny’s notes for us has not only the syllabus content, but also examples and other extension content he thinks it’s useful for us to learn. On top of that, Danny regularly assesses our progresses by making us do quizzes since day 1, and I think it’s good practice for both trial and HSC exams. After performing poorly in one of my exams, Danny encouraged me to work as hard as I can and gave me the reassurance that I can do well when I was about to give up; I would forever be grateful for his kind words. I received immense support both physically and emotionally from the tutors and thoroughly enjoyed my time at Taffy’s Coaching. I would definitely recommend it to any students seeking additional academic support!

Together they become the omnipotent triumvirate of DCT - stands for ‘don’t cross Taffy’ - great words to live by, considering that Taffy’s knowledge and awareness of the HSC is unmatched. They are all amazing tutors who will pay attention to your needs, and might even reward you with dinner at Spicy Joint if they like you enough (which they will).
